What If, By Some Sudden Shift of Scale

  1. Flapping at the merchants
    I pocketed my bottles.
    Their ants' antennae bobbing in the breeze,
    they nodded respect:
    you drive a hard bargain,
    you mirror-winged moths.

    Shrugging at the merchants,
    I patted the gurgling bulge:
    when you have only a day,
    you try to do everything right!
    Then I flapped away
    to sip my juice among the lilys.
